The Western Sydney IT Cluster (WSITC) is committed to fostering innovation and technology through industry development in Western Sydney to promote Western Sydney IT Cluster as a globally competitive & innovative industry cluster and build the capacity of WSITC to adopt & adapt new technologies, processes & practices.

Importantly, WSITC encourages close linkages and collaborations with our leading ICT Research & Development organisations, as well as opportunities for updates on the latest developments in ICT R&D. Members are encouraged to develop linkages with these organisations, many of whom are Associate Members of the Western Sydney IT Cluster.

TEKES R&D Partnership Opportunities is an email service coordinated through UWS’ Centre for Innovation & Industry Research (CIIS) that provides new R&D partnership opportunities through The Innovation Relay Centre Finland, and helps companies with the transfer of international technology, from identification of technological needs to the signing of cooperation contracts.

IRC Finland is a member of the Network of Innovation Relay Centres, which consists of 71 Innovation Relay Centres in all EU Member States and in Iceland, Israel, Norway and Switzerland, Chile and Turkey and also in Central and East European countries. IRC Finland is hosted by the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, Tekes.

To register for the TEKES R&D service, please email k.manning@uws.edu.au with 2-3 Keywords indicating your preferred areas of interest (ie IT, Environment, Waste Management, Multimedia ; E-Publishing, Digital Content ; Mobile Communications, etc). Once received, you will be added to the CIIS email distribution system.
